Cartoonist Arthur Brisbane once pictured a crowd of grieving caterpillars carrying the corpse of a cocoon to its final resting place. The poor, distressed caterpillars, clad in black raiment, were weeping, and all the while the beautiful butterfly fluttered happily above the muck and the mire of Earth, forever freed from its earthly shell.
Let us not dwell on the cocoon, but instead remember the beautiful butterfly!
“Having peace, even in a bad situation, isn’t related to how we feel about the situation, it’s how we feel about God. It’s believing that despite this situation, we know that He is still there and that everything is going to be okay.”
“I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die.” Jesus, John 11:25-26
“Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.” R. Tagore
“In Heaven, God will reveal what on Earth He chose to conceal.”
“God conceals from men the happiness of death that they may endure life.”
What a beautiful and wonderful testimony to God's overwhelming love for us! Thank you for sharing your story of your sweet baby girl. I have witnessed our Lord's abundant grace and love for us especially since my mom was killed on October 13th 2008. I was sent this by a sister in Christ,Keren, that I just met while in Cyprus visiting "maman", my mother-in-law who was just diagnosed with cancer. I'm thankful and blessed to have read your blog. May God bless you abundantly throughout your life. I know that he loves us without reserve! What a loving and beautiful God that we serve! Always remember how much he loves you! Thanks again for sharing your pain, peace, joy and love! Thanks for being a witness for our Lord and Savior!
